Enrollment Policy and Registration:
We welcome any child three through five years of age, who is toilet trained and at a stage of growth and development that enables him/her to benefit from our program. However, we are willing to make accommodations for special needs children consistent with the American Disabilities Act. These accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lil’ Lighthouse Preschool admits and does not discriminate against students of any race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities made available to our students. We do not discriminate in the administration of our educational policies, admissions policies, scholarships, and other preschool administered programs.

* The 5 half day afternoon class (Jr. Kdgtn.) is designed for children whose birth dates fall between April and October of 2008 and need an extra “bonus year” before entering Kindergarten.
Tuition is an annual commitment. However, payments may be divided into ten (10)
equal payments due the 1st of each month, beginning August 1st. If the August payment is not received by August 15th, we cannot guarantee a space for your child. If students withdraw after August 15th, the August payment is non-refundable. Students are considered enrolled for the entire year. The Administration makes staff decisions and purchases curriculum based on enrollment numbers. Please contact the preschool office if you have any questions or concerns. A $25.00 late fee is added to the balance due on the 15th of each month. There is a 5% discount if you choose to pay the entire school year in August. We also offer a 5% sibling discount and a 10% discount for twins.
Registration Fee: A NON-REFUNDABLE REGISTRATION FEE of $160.00 per year, per child is due at the time of registration. The registration fee includes an earthquake preparedness kit, curriculum, supplies, custom made backpack, yearbook and Preschool T-shirt for field trips.
AGE REQUIREMENT: 2.9 to 5 years old who are potty trained.
TRANSPORTATION: Transportation to and from preschool is the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
Activity Fee: All field trips and programs that we have throughout the year for your child (and for one parent on the trips that charge for parents) will be covered in this fee. The fee is due in full by September 30th. The two-day program activity fee is $70. The three day is $165 (includes a developmental screening fee) and JK programs’ activity fee is $120. Since we pay for the activities in advance, there will be no refunds. |

PARENT VISITS:
Parents are always welcome to visit our preschool. We ask that you make an
appointment for your initial visit in order to ensure the time necessary to
answer all your questions and observe the classroom for 15 minutes. Any
time after that, you are welcome to drop in and observe for a short period
of time. We ask that you stop by the preschool office to check in first.
PARENT ORIENTATION:
A Parent Orientation Night is held prior to the first day of preschool in order for parents to further acquaint themselves with the goals, policies and programs of the preschool. It is a time for parents to meet the teachers, view the facilities and complete final registration procedures. An Open House is held prior to the first day of preschool so the child can become familiar with the facilities and meet other classmates.
IMMUNIZATION PRIOR TO ENROLLMENT:
No child shall be unconditionally admitted as a student of the preschool, unless prior to admission, written verification is presented showing the child has been immunized against diphtheria, pertusis, tetanus, poliomyelitis, measles, mumps, and rubella in a manner and with immunizing agents approved by the State Department of Public Health. The only exception to this policy is a child whose licensed physician has submitted a written statement that immunization cannot be given to the child, or if the parent signs the personal beliefs affidavit exempting the child from immunization requirements for child care entry.
