WELCOME TO LIL’ LIGHTHOUSE PRESCHOOL! Thank you for joining our preschool “family” this school year. We are anticipating a great year of loving on your child, challenging him/her educationally and partnering with you in sharing Jesus with them. It is truly an amazing blessing to be starting our 20th year as a ministry of Lighthouse Community Church. We are grateful to be doing what God has called us to do each day-minister to your child and family!! We are here for you! As school begins, August/September will be a time of learning about each other, our safety rules (inside & outside) and the world God created! Please see the monthly curriculum and calendar for more important information. Our weekly lesson plans will be posted near the sign-in tables for you to look over as well.
Reminders:
*Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Please make your check payable to Lil’ Lighthouse Preschool and write your child’s name on the memo line. You can also pay with cash (please put it in an envelope with your child’s name on it) or have your bank send a monthly payment. There will be a drop off box at the sign in table. Thank you!
*The activity fee is due by September 1st if you haven’t already paid it. The fee for our 2 day class is $150, the 3 day class is $210 and the 5 day (TK) class is $225. Thank you!
*We still have a few available spots in our morning classes so if you know of anyone interested, please have them contact us at 949) 631-7294- we greatly appreciate referrals!!
* Come join the fun in our afternoon program! We have room for your child and great activities planned for them to enjoy each day. Please contact the office @ (949) 631-7294 or (949) 209-7114 (cell) if you are interested.

*TK orientation meeting mandatory on September 2nd at 8:45 right after drop off to learn more about the TK program. The meeting should take about 30 minutes. See you there!!
* School closed Monday, September 7th for the Labor Day Holiday.
*Meet & Greet will be on September 10th ( TTH classes) and September 11th (MWF & TK classes) after drop off in the Worship Center for all Moms or Dads. This is a brief meeting where you will have the opportunity to meet the room Mom and other parents in your child’s classroom, sign up for a class party, and learn more about other important school year events.
*September 24th & 25th share days for 2- & 3-day classes. Please see the monthly themes to help your child choose a share item.

*T-shirts will be handmade by the children (tie dye) and will be available after school starts. The cost of the T-shirts was included in the registration fee.
*WE ARE A NUT FREE FACILITY! Please do not send your child with any food containing nuts (peanut butter, almond butter, granola bars,etc.) It is not necessary to send your child with a water container as we always have water available. Thank you!
*Please have your child bring his/her labeled backpack with an extra set of labeled clothes (underwear, shirt, pants or shorts and socks) in case of toileting “accidents” or water play spills. If your child is staying for our afternoon program, please send in a lunch (no nuts please) in a labeled lunchbox, small blanket and “stuffy” for rest time. Check your child’s backpack daily for Art projects, notes and forms!
*Please contact the preschool office if you have a change of address, phone, or authorized “pick-up” person.
*When signing in/out, sign your child’s full name and the times of drop off/pick up on the sheet. Only those people you have listed on your authorization sheet will be allowed to pick your child up. We ask that you be prompt in picking your child up and remember to sign out daily as this is a state requirement! We will be enforcing our late pick-up policy as outlined in our Parent Handbook! Thank you for being considerate to your child!
*Please contact the preschool office if your child is absent. For illness, please follow the sick policy as defined in the Parent Handbook.
*A reminder to send your child in closed-toe shoes and play clothes. No crocs or sandals for safety reasons!
*Lighthouse Community Church meets every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Sunday school and Nursery care are provided during the service. We would love you to join us!
*As part of our master plan agreement with the City of Costa Mesa, it is mandatory that all parents and visitors park in the main church parking lot at all times. The parking lot barriers will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – our normal business hours. The lot will also be opened for any special activities as needed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. No activities will take place in the parking lot after 11:00 p.m. or before 7:00 a.m. If you arrive early for any session, please keep your child with you in the car until it is time to sign him/her in. Should you arrive late for drop off or plan to pick your child up early from the classroom, please park in the main church parking lot and walk him/her across the street at the designated crosswalk on the corner of Magnolia St. and Santa Ana Ave.only. Please help us in honoring Lil’ Lighthouse Preschool’s agreement with the City of Costa Mesa in following these procedures.

Oct. 1 & 2 – Picture Days
Oct. 8 & 9 – Pumpkin Patch on campus- wear orange day (no costumes please).
Oct. 15 & 16 – Captain Carl coming to share about bones (during class time).
Oct. 22 & 23 – Share day for 2 & 3 day classes.
