February was a fabulous month! We enjoyed celebrating God’s love at our Valentine parties, wearing P.J.’s to school and going to the OC Centennial Farm with the 2 day classes. Whew – it was a fun filled, busy month.
This month we will be learning about Spring, worshipping with Jana Alayra, going to Irvine Regional Park train & zoo (3 day & TK classes), enjoying the Mobile Tidepools with Captain Carl, watching butterflies hatch, performing at the Spring Sing as well as at Lighthouse Community Church
(March 29 @ 10:00) and learning about Palm Sunday and Easter.
Please make sure you turn in your completed re-enrollment forms along with the $200 non-refundable registration fee by March 2nd in order to guarantee a space for your child in August. If you have a sibling, please turn in a full enrollment packet along with the $200 non-refundable registration fee also by March 2nd . Open enrollment for new families to attend August 2026 begins March 2nd ! Thank you for any referrals.

*March 2nd – Open Enrollment begins for new families.
* Lil’ Lighthouse Summer Camp enrollment begins. Please watch for a packet in your child’s backpack.
*March 6th– Jana Alayra Concert-ALL preschoolers are invited to attend. Parents of TTh students must bring your child and stay with him/her. The MWF & TK students have a regular day after the concert. The fee for the concert was part of your yearly activity fee. Jana will have CD’s and T-shirts available for purchase.
*March 9-12 – Spirit Week. Let’s have some fun! For S week we have a daily theme. Monday is Sports Fan Day. This can be any team, any sport, any item (t-shirt, sweater shirt, hat scarf, etc. Tuesday is Silly sock day. Wednesday is Crazy Hair Day, the crazier the better. Thursday is Crazy Hair Day for the 2 Day and Backwards Day for the TK (hat, shirt,etc.). We hope you will have fun and enjoy deciding what to wear.
*March 11th & 12th – Share Days!
*March 13th – Irvine Regional Park Train and Zoo field trip for 3 day & TK classes. Watch for an email with details coming. No PM Learn & Play!
*March 16th & 17th – Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Wear green!
*March 19th & 20th – Captain Carl’s Mobile Tidepools during class.
*Spring Sing: March 26th (2 day classes) & March 27th (3 day classes) TK kiddos sing at both performances. It will be a regular morning with class, and the Spring Sing is at 11:30 a.m. The doors to the church open at 11:00 a.m. NO Learn & Play either day. There will be a House of Yogurt Fundraiser on March 26th. Watch for a flyer with details.
*March 29th – all preschoolers are invited to join the Sunday School kiddos to sing 2 of our Spring Sing songs at the 10:00 service. Please plan to stay for our Taco truck celebration after the service.
*Please check the March calendar on-line for all the events this month. If you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask!!
*Please have your child bring his/her “backpack” to preschool everyday. Please keep an extra set of LABELED clothes (underwear, shirt, pants or shorts and socks) in the bottom of the backpack in case of toileting “accidents” or water play spills. Check your child’s backpack DAILY for Art projects, notes and forms!
*Please remember to send your child in closed-toe shoes and play clothes.
*Lighthouse Community Church meets every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Please join us!
*As part of our master plan agreement with the City of Costa Mesa, it is mandatory that all parents and visitors park in the main church parking lot at all times. The parking lot barriers will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – our normal business hours. The lot will also be opened for any special activities as needed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. No activities will take place in the parking lot after 11:00 p.m. or before 7:00 a.m. You are required to walk your child through the side door of the worship center and sign him/her in and out on the sheet provided daily. The preschool staff will be there to welcome and dismiss your child to you or an authorized adult. If you arrive early for any session, please keep your child with you in the car until it is time to sign him/her in. Should you arrive late for drop off or plan to pick your child up early from the classroom, please park in the main church parking lot and walk him/her across the street at the designated crosswalk on the corner of Magnolia St. and Santa Ana Ave. only. Please help us in honoring Lil’ Lighthouse Preschool’s agreement with the City of Costa Mesa in following these procedures.
