WELCOME TO LIL’ LIGHTHOUSE PRESCHOOL! Thank you for joining our preschool “family” this school year. We are anticipating a great year of loving on your child, challenging him/her educationally and partnering with you in sharing Jesus with them. It is truly an amazing blessing to be starting our 19th year as a ministry of Lighthouse Community Church. We are grateful to be doing what God has called us to do-minister to your child and family!! As school begins, August/September will be a time of learning about each other, our safety rules (inside & outside) and the world God created! The monthly curriculum and calendar information for these months will be communicated via email the first week of school. Please watch for the email as it will provide you with important information. Our weekly lesson plans will be posted near the sign-in tables for you to look over as well.
Our summer was exciting with fun-filled activities during our first summer camp ever. We hope many of you can join us next summer. Please watch for information early next year.
Reminders:
*Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Please make your check payable to Lil’ Lighthouse Preschool and write your child’s name on the memo line. You can also pay with cash (please put it in an envelope with your child’s name on it) or have your bank send a monthly payment. There will be a drop off box at the sign in table. Thank you!
*The activity fee is due by September 1st if you haven’t already paid it. The fee for our 2 day class is $135, the 3 day class is $195 and the 5 day class is $205. Thank you!
*We still have availability in our morning classes so if you know of anyone interested, please have them contact us at 949) 631-7294- we greatly appreciate referrals!!
*Please contact the office @ (949) 631-7294 or (949) 209-7114 if you want your child to attend our afternoon program as we still have room on all days. We have great activities planned for each day!!! Come join the fun!!!
*T-shirts will be hand made by the children (tie dye) and will be available after school starts. The cost of the t-shirts was included in the registration fee.

* School closed Monday, September 1st for the Labor Day Holiday.
*Meet & Greet will be on September 11th ( TTH classes) and September 12th (MWF & TK classes) after drop off in the Worship Center for all Moms or Dads. Watch for an email with details.
*September 25 & 26 share day for 2 & 3 day classes.
*Please watch for a list of snacks and supplies if you would like to donate. Thank you!
*WE ARE A NUT FREE FACILITY! Please do not send your child with any food containing nuts (peanut butter, almond butter, granola bars,etc.) It is not necessary to send your child with a water container as we always have water available. Thank you!
*Please have your child bring his/her labeled backpack to preschool everyday. Please keep an extra set of LABELED clothes (underwear, shirt, pants or shorts and socks) in case of toileting “accidents” or water play spills. Also, we ask that you label everything (lunch boxes, jackets, blankets, etc.) Check your child’s backpack DAILY for Art projects, notes and forms!
*Please contact the preschool office if you have a change of address, phone, or authorized “pick-up” person.
*When signing in/out, SIGN YOUR CHILD’S FULL NAME AND YOUR FULL NAME and the times of drop off/pick up on the sheet. ONLY THOSE PEOPLE YOU HAVE LISTED ON YOUR AUTHORIZATION SHEET WILL BE ALLOWED TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD. Please be prompt in picking your child up and REMEMBER TO SIGN YOUR CHILD OUT as this is a state requirement! THANKS!! We will be enforcing our late pick-up policy as outlined in our Parent Handbook! Thanks for being considerate of your child!
*Please contact the preschool office if your child will be absent. For illness please follow the sick policy as defined in the Parent Handbook.
*Please remember to send your child in closed-toe shoes and play clothes. No crocs or sandals please!
*Lighthouse Community Church meets every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Sunday school and Nursery care are provided during the service. We would love you to join us!
*As part of our master plan agreement with the City of Costa Mesa, it is mandatory that all parents and visitors park in the main church parking lot at all times. The parking lot barriers will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – our normal business hours. The lot will also be opened for any special activities as needed between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. No activities will take place in the parking lot after 11:00 p.m. or before 7:00 a.m. If you arrive early for any session, please keep your child with you in the car until it is time to sign him/her in. Should you arrive late for drop off or plan to pick your child up early from the classroom, please park in the main church parking lot and walk him/her across the street at the designated crosswalk on the corner of Magnolia St. and Santa Ana Ave.only. Please help us in honoring Lil’ Lighthouse Preschool’s agreement with the City of Costa Mesa in following these procedures.

Oct. 9 & 10 – Pumpkin Patch on campus- wear orange day (no costumes please).
Oct. 16 & 17 – Captain Carl coming to share about bones (during class time).
Oct. 23 & 24 – Share day for 2 & 3 day classes.
Oct. 29 – Trike-a-thon fundraiser 3 day classes starts right after drop-off.
Oct. 30 – Trike-a-thon fundraiser 2 day classes starts right after drop-off.
Oct. 31 – Trike-a-thon fundraiser TK class starts right after drop-off.
For those of you who had Miss Lauren, we are happy to announce that she recently became engaged and has moved to Texas with her fiance. Mrs. Lits will be taking her place. Mrs. Lits has been an aid and a room mom previously and is excited to join our team.
