Dear Parents,
February was
a fabulous month! We enjoyed celebrating
God’s love at our Valentine parties, wearing P.J.’s to school and participating
in the trike-a-thon fundraiser. Whew – it was a fun filled, busy month.
A HUGE thank
you for generously contributing to our fundraiser! The kiddos had a great time riding
and receiving “medals” for their participation. We are purchasing new
playground equipment, classroom items, replenishing our scholarship fund and
contributing to our new furnace/AC in the Family Room where the kiddos
rest/nap!
This month
we will be learning about Spring, going to Centennial Farms (2 day classes),
Irvine Regional Park train & zoo (3 day & TK classes) and celebrating
Easter with our special classroom parties .Please see the reminder below about
our Easter party details.
Please make
sure you turn in your completed re-enrollment
forms along with the $200 non-refundable
registration fee by March 1st
in order to guarantee a space for your child in September. If you have a sibling, please turn in a full enrollment packet along with the $200 non-refundable registration fee
also by March 1st. Open enrollment for new families to attend
September 2024 begins March 1st! Thank you for any referrals.
REMINDERS

* March 4-8
- Spirit Week.
Let’s have some fun! For S week we have a daily theme. Monday is Sports
Fan Day. This can be any team, any sport, any item (t-shirt,
sweater shirt, hat scarf, etc.. Tuesday
is Silly sock day. Wednesday is Crazy Hair Day, the crazier the better.
Thursday is Crazy Hair Day for the 2 Day and Backwards Day for the TK
(hat
shirt,etc.). Friday is Career Day. (nurse, doctor, fireman, business
man,
etc.) We hope you will have fun and enjoy
figuring out what to wear.
* March 14 and 15 – Tie Dye Day. Wear your tie
dye shirts etc.
* March 15th – Irvine Regional Park Train and Zoo field
trip for 3 day & TK classes. Watch for more details coming. No PM Enrichment!
* March 21st - Centennial Farms at
the OC Fairgrounds field trip for 2 day classes. Watch for more details
coming. TK has regular class until Noon. No PM
Enrichment!
* March 18th & 19th - Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Wear green!
* March 19th & 22nd –
Share Days
* March 27th & 28th
– Easter Parties-in the classes. Please
bring 2 white, hard boiled eggs (to dye during class) and 6 plastic candy or
sticker filled eggs for the egg hunt on the day your child attends. We need
those items first thing in the morning at drop off!! The TK class party will be
on March 28th.
* March 29th &
April 1st – School closed for
Good Friday and Easter Monday!

* Please have your child bring his/her
backpack to preschool everyday. Please
keep an extra set of LABELED clothes (underwear, shirt, pants or shorts and
socks) in the bottom of the backpack in case of toileting “accidents” or water
play spills. Check your child’s backpack
DAILY for Art projects, notes and forms!
* Please remember to send your child in
closed-toe shoes and play clothes.
* Lighthouse Community
Church meets every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Sunday school and Nursery care are
provided during the service. We would love you to join us!
* Good Friday service
will be on Friday, March 29th at 6:00 p.m.
* As part of our master plan agreement with the
City of Costa Mesa, it is mandatory that all parents and visitors park
in the main church parking lot at all times.
The parking lot barriers will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – our
normal business hours. The lot will also
be opened for any special activities as needed between the hours of 7:00 a.m.
and 11:00 p.m. No activities will take
place in the parking lot after 11:00 p.m. or before 7:00 a.m. If you arrive
early for any session, please keep your child with you in the car until it is
time to sign him/her in. Should you
arrive late for drop off or plan to pick your child up early from the
classroom, please park in the main church parking lot and walk him/her across
the street at the designated crosswalk on the corner of Magnolia St. and Santa
Ana Ave. only. Please help us in
honoring Lil’ Lighthouse Preschool’s agreement with the City of Costa Mesa in
following these procedures.
In
case of a blackout or emergency disaster, or if you cannot reach us on
the landline, we will have a cell phone turned on for you to contact
us. Please note the number and keep it in a convenient place.
